Alamance Community College sponsored by New Garden places in Top 10 in Student Competition

Around 800 students, including New Garden Village Greenhouse Manager Joel Deuterman, spent a long weekend getting muddy at North Carolina State University for the National Association of Landscape Professionals’ 39th annual Student Career Days. Traveling from the nation’s top horticulture and landscape programs, the students competed in more than 28 team and individual competitions over the course of the three-day competition, March 12-15.

Alamance Community college, sponsored in part by New Garden Landscaping & Nursery, placed 7th overall out of 65 participating schools, and finished ahead of NCSU for the first time! Joel placed 12th out of 84 participating students in the  Interior Plant Identification competition. New Garden is proud of the participating students and Joel for their great performance.
